Thærie, Thy Kingdom come
By Julian Karenga
In collaboration with Dramatikkens Hus and Ibsen Scope.
Based on a particular part of the epic poem by Ibsen «Terje Vigen», in which he returns from captivity. This text asks the question what happens to the mind when it is confronted with the inconceivable, how psychosis can start to develop thru trauma, the passage of time, captivity and substance abuse – what versions of reality will he adhere to, and is it in a language we can understand?
