IBSENISLAND
We come from different plays by Ibsen and we are thrown into the spotlight. The stage is our arena where we explore the paradox of cooperative competition. As individuals, we compete; as professionals, we compete; as Ibsen characters, we compete. In our privileged arts school, we are in the midst of a cultural crisis that many societies are facing. Here, we delve into the complex dance between artistic struggle and harmony, exploring the depth of this profound interplay. To what extent are we in this competition together or against each other?
8 Ibsen’s characters are sent to Ibsen Island after such a long period of operation that they have lost their charming ambiguity. Who is celebrated as cultural icons and who is erased from the scene and the story? They begin to antagonize each other and realize they want to try to find a new purpose together.
